Boswau & Knauer bauten es 1905/06 als Theater- und Konzertsaal. Herman Haller führte das Theater von 1914 bis 1923, Erwin Piscator die Piscator-Bühne von September 1927 bis September 1928. Nach Kino und Diskothek Metropol wurde das Haus 2005 zum Speise- und Tanzclub Goya.

Das Haus am Nollendorfplatz 5 in Schöneberg hieß auch Metropol, Theater am Nollendorfplatz, Neues Schauspielhaus und Goya.
