Three tickets, one vehicle
Rock im Park runs Friday 4 June to Sunday 6 June 2027 at the Zeppelinfeld. The camps open a day earlier. Sleeping in a minivan, or in a car with a roof tent, takes three separate things, and each one counts a different unit.
- Festival ticket, one per person. General Camping or Green Camping is inside the weekend ticket. The Minivan area is not.
- Minivan badge, one per vehicle. That upgrade is what lets the car onto the pitch.
- Minivan Camping ticket, one per person sleeping in or on the vehicle.
The ticket page prints the warning in bold: buy Minivan Camping only if the badge is already in hand. Without the badge you cannot use the area with a vehicle. The camping ticket on its own does not open the gate.
Length, weight, no power
The badge covers a minivan or a car with a roof tent. Maximum length 7 metres. Maximum gross weight 3.5 tonnes. A small awning is possible. The pitch is about 4 metres wide, depending on neighbours and how they set up. There are no power outlets on this area.
Open and close: Thursday 3 June 2027, 09:00, until Monday 7 June 2027, 10:00. The same hours apply to the other camping and parking areas. The 2027 site map is not published yet.
In 2026 Rock im Park put the minivan area on the Volksfestplatz, a new pitch that year. A resale listing named the organiser price of that year’s badge at 149 euro, and the length limit in that offer at 6.50 metres. For 2027 the ticket page prints 7 metres and no price, because the button says sold out.
Caravan is the other drawer
Motorhomes and caravans use the Caravan badge. That pitch allows 7.50 metres in length and about 5 metres in width. A trailer and its tow car have to fit together inside a 7.5 by 5 metre plot. The Caravan area has shared power, 1,000 watts at most, and you bring your own CEE cable, at least 50 metres, splash-proof. That badge is sold out too. The Caravan Camping ticket carries the same warning: buy it only if you already hold the badge.
Tent camping on General or Green Camping is inside the festival ticket. Day tickets include neither camping nor parking. Camping outside the marked areas, including on the car parks, is prosecuted by the city of Nuremberg. The festival rules name fines up to 2,500 euro.
