Boswau & Knauer built it in 1905/06 as a theatre and concert hall. Herman Haller ran the theatre from 1914 to 1923. Erwin Piscator ran the Piscator-Bühne there from September 1927 to September 1928. After a cinema and the Metropol discotheque, it became the dining and dance club Goya in 2005.
